About Padraic
Padraic McCracken is a true modern day American hero. He has served our country, our community, and been a role model as a modern day dad.
Padraic attended Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs and went on to attend Jacksonville University. After college, Paddy served our country as an officer in the US Navy. He then entered the world of commercial aviation working his way up to captain at Delta Airlines.
Paddy loves the outdoors. He is an avid sky diver and scuba diver. He is an experienced mountain and ice climber having summited many mountains over his lifetime. Paddy is happily married to his wife of 25 years and would likely tell you that being a father to his two children, Fiona and Liam, is by far his greatest achievement.
In March 2018 Paddy was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a very aggressive terminal brain cancer with a very poor prognosis. Paddy has bravely battled with his family by his side undergoing 2 brain surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. Like many patients undergoing chemotherapy, there were times when Pat needed blood and platelet transfusions to get his body healthy enough to continue the battle. Padraic continues an uphill battle against brain cancer with the love and support of his family and his community.
Thank you for your support in launching this initiative for all people and their families suffering from Brain Cancer and for Paddy McCracken and his family.
